Under Floor Tile Heating

Devimat- Warm floors made simple

Devimat is a self adhesive mesh, with ultra thin cable pre-attached.

It comes in a full range of sizes, from 0.5m-12m and is available in both 100W and 150W per m2 for installation onto both concrete and timber floors.

The mat is simply rolled out, cut and turned to fit the available free floor area. A flexible tile adhesive/self levelling compound and the chosen floor covering is then laid.

As the cable is a twin conductor, there is no second tail to return to the thermostat, saving on installation time and cost.

DEVIFREG 550

Devireg  550. The thermostat that thinks! This is a fully programmable 7 day combined timer and thermostat.

The thermostats' in-built intellgence means that it continually learns from its environment and is able to calculate the pre-heat period accordingly on a daily basis. For example, if the thermostat is set to achieve 22ºC at 7am, devireg will calculate the exact time the heating should be turned on to reach this temperature. During the year it will also continually adjust itself to the climate situation.

The Pro-Active devireg  550.

devireg 550 uses a sophisticated, unique regulator which enables it to work actively with comfort parameters, room temperature and economy, in order to improve on comfort and at the same time, save on energy. When the outdoor temperature drops, any thermostat controlled heating system will react by compensating the greater heat loss by increasing the floor temperature. devireg™ 550 however, is programmed to understand, that if the floor temperature is higher, the air temperature can be lowered a little - at the same comfort level. So, if the floor temperature is increased by +1°C, the air temperature will be decreased by -0,2°C, thus saving up to 10% energy.

Step 1

Measure the room and draw a sketch to help you calculate which DEVI package you will need. Then sketch in the position of the devimat heating cable mat.

Step 2

Mark the positioning of the toilet before you remove it. This helps you avoid placing the toilet on top of the mat - and prevents you from piercing it with screws.

Step 3

Cut a channel approx. 10 mm deep and wide in the wall and the floor, from the thermostat and about 1 m out into the floor. Glue the flex pipe for the sensor into this channel, and seal the end of the pipe with a piece of tape.

Step 4

Clean the floor thoroughly, removing all dirt and soap residue, then lay out the self-adhesive cable mat. The floor surface must be primed if you are not laying the mat on existing tiles.

Step 5

Clip through the grey netting to turn the mat over - but make sure that you do not cut through the red cable!

Step 6

Turn the mat and position it as required. The self-adhesive effect can withstand 10-20 adjustments, so you can move the mat several times until you are satisfied with the result.

Step 7

Once you have positioned the cable mat, you can - depending on the new floor surface - encapsulate it using self levelling screed or cover it with a thin layer of tile adhesive.
